Arscott Golf Club has a very active membership with competitions and events being held throughout the year.

The Men's Section

Men's Captain 2008/2009 - Don Wallington Vice Captain - Mel Jones

The Men's section  has approximately 450 playing members and holds regular club competitions - monthly medals,  stableford competitions and the ever popular Wednesday club nights and Sunday morning Pound in the Pot.

Arscott teams play in the Shropshire and Herefordshire Scratch and Handicap Leagues, the Hargrove Trophy,  we play a series of friendly matches against other local clubs.

The Ladies Section

Arscott Golf Club has a thriving Ladies Section  and prides itself on being friendly and welcoming to all standards of players. Ladies Day is Tuesdays, the alternative day for medals is Saturday. There are regular competitions throughout the year. League and friendly matches against local clubs give the opportunity for golfers of all standards to play  and socialise with fellow golfers throughout the County. New members and visitors are always welcome

Golf Competitions Ladies golf competitions are generally held on a Tuesday and Saturday.  The main day for competitions is Tuesday and the alternate day is Saturday. On  Saturdays there are reserved tee times for competitions.

Matches both freindly and competetive, are organised against other Clubs in Shropshire and  are played during the week and at weekends. The Section puts forward a strong  team for the Daily Mail Foursomes, Mail on Sunday Match Play and County Competitions.

Social Events The Section holds several social events throughout the year and these  have included prize giving, golfing holiday, Captains Away Day. Several fun competitions take place and mixed events are organised.

The Seniors Section

Seniors Captain 2007/8 - Tony Wheeler  Vice Captain -

The Seniors Section has about 75 active members (minimum age 60 years). Our official day is Thursday, when throughout the tear we play a variety of organised games, medals, stableford and team games, as well as holding both singles and pairs matchplay knockout competitions in the winter and a singles knockout in the summer.

Also in the summer months we play friendly matches, at home and away, against 13 other clubs in the Shropshire area.

The section hosts an Open competition in the spring, and another in the autumn. Both are very popular and well attended by members from clubs over a wide area. Entry forms are already available for the Spring Open to be held on May 15th 2008.
