Something for everyone at Arscott Golf Club
Arscott Golf Club is a member-run club in the heart of Shropshire, just four miles from Shrewsbury. In 2018, the Club signed a 25-year lease, securing the future of its established 18-hole course.
This gives current members confidence in the Club’s future and creates a warm welcome for new members. Whether you have known about Arscott for years or are new to the area, you may find a great golf course right on your doorstep.
The Club is led by playing members who serve as Directors of Arscott Golf Club Ltd. Many other members also give their time, skills and experience to help run and improve the Club.
A course with views and variety
The course measures 6,125 yards from the white tees. It has four par 3s and two par 5s, with each hole offering a different challenge. Several holes also enjoy spectacular views across the Shropshire countryside.
After your round, relax in the bar or on the balcony. Both overlook the 18th green, with views across the pools and towards Pontesford Hill.
The clubhouse is open seven days a week and welcomes golf societies. It can also be hired for private functions, from small gatherings to larger business or social events.
Golf for every ability
Resident professional Glyn Sadd runs a well-stocked golf shop and offers one-to-one and group tuition. Whatever your age, ability or budget, Arscott has something for you.
Arscott has an active membership, with competitions and events throughout the year. Monthly club competitions include at least two qualifying events, weather permitting. These take place on alternate Saturdays and Sundays, giving members plenty of chances to play Stableford and Medal competitions.
Wednesday Club Night is especially popular. Simply turn up and play.
Members can also enjoy singles and doubles Matchplay competitions in summer and winter, plus an Eclectic competition during the winter months. There are plenty of fun and mixed events too. These are a great way to meet other members and find new playing partners.
More than golf
The Club also hosts social events throughout the year, including prize presentations, themed dining.
